Established Standing Committees - Our ministries led by elders:


Activities [ N. Brown Moderator ]: - Church fellowship including social hours, family night programs, and other church activities.  Coordinates fund raising projects.


Christian Education [ S. Taylor Moderator ]
: Education of the entire church, adult, youth, and community including church Sunday School, Bible Study classes, Vacation Bible School, and summer education programs, youth programs, communicants' classes, adult new member's classes, teacher-training and officer training.  Create new Bible study groups in the church, in members' homes, on job sites and in the community.


Congregation & Community Relations [ L. Knox Moderator
]: The Session's liaison's for our congregation organizations( Men's Club, Older Adult Ministry, Singles Ministry, Marriage Ministry and Pullman Active Women), specialized ministries(Prison Ministry), and outside ministries. Organize community events/workshops.
 

Evangelism [ A. Jordan - Hodges Moderator ]: Create and support programs and policies to support our "commitment to evangelism".  Nurtures the spirituality of current and new members by training the entire church to become evangelists.  Provide outreach all year long for active and inactive members.  Guide church officers, church organizations, congregation members and our Pullman community with methods and programs to aid all of the church in maturing spiritually. Coordinate and supervise Prayer group leaders. 


Mission Interpretation & Stewardship [ A. Jones Moderator ]:
Interpret the overall mission of the church for the Session. Lead, teach and encourage personal and financial stewardship. Promote special denominational offerings and other special offerings.  Present fund raising proposals.


Health [
B. Jefferson Moderator ]: Create programs, polices for educational opportunity to inform our congregation and community about public health information and concerns.


Hunger [ B. Holmes - Whitehead Moderator ]:
Create programs and policies to support our efforts to feed the hungry locally and worldwide, including a church food pantry.  Preparing food baskets for the needy during holidays(supported by the Board of Deacons and others).  Involvement in the denomination's and other Crop Walk programs. 


Human Resources [ K. McGary Moderator]:
  Mmaximizes the spiritual potential of all Pullman members. Over site of all personnel and policies. Work closely with employee's supervisors. One of the methods that the Human Resources committee uses to accomplish this goal is Transforming Ministries. Transforming Ministries are 1 hour sessions, held every quarter, designed to assist members in developing their new life in Christ (Colossian: 3).

Justice and Reconciliation  [ B. Davis Moderator
]:  Help to respond and involve the congregation and community in justice and reconciliation issues and support our commitment to the denomination's peacemaking efforts.


Physical 
 Properties [ C. Gray Moderator]: Maintain church properties and inventories. Supervise the church custodian and coordinate special events in the church.


Transportation [ A. Armstrong Moderator ]:
Oversite of purchasing and manging church vehicles, schedules and transportation need for the  congregation.


Worship [ F. Arnold Moderator]:
Supervise worship procedures, worship forms, music direction, church musicians and choirs, liturgical dance and bulletins. Train Elders and Deacon in observing and administering the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism.  Prepare worship programs for special events and holidays.  Assist with the training and supervision of ushers and greeters.


Other Ministries:


Board of Deacons[ M. Kirk Moderator ]:
 Give comfort and encouragement to the sick and shut-ins.  Assist bereaving families through their crisis. 


Greeters & Ushers [ Members]:
The front line of the church.  Welcome and assist visitors and members when they walk through the door for worship.


Pullman Active Women [ L. Knox Moderator ]:
A ministry for women to reach out to other churches and community and share God's word and good will. Activities include Bible study, Women's Day Program, hosting senior parties, theater fund-raisers, bake sales, etc.


Pullman's Men's Club [ F. Arnold Moderator ]:
A ministry for men to gather and reach out to other churches and the community to share God's word and good will.  Activities include Bible study, Men's Day Program, various fund raisers, and assisting with the Prison Ministry.

Pullman Sanctuary Choir [ L. Johnson Director on Leave
]:
Sing an array of traditional, acappella and Diaspora inspired songs for alternate Sunday worship services and guest appearances.


Voices of Pullman [ G. Safford Director ]:
Sing an array of contemporary Praise and Worship music for young adults for alternate Sunday worship services, guest appearances, and concerts.


Pullman's Joy Youth Choir & Pullman's Blessings Teen Choir [ L. Johnson Director on Leave ]
Sing an array of contemporary Praise and Worship music for young adults for alternate Sunday worship services, guest appearances, and concerts.

Sisters in the Spirit [A. Armstrong ] Mentoring program for Jr. and Sr. High young ladies.

Young M.I.N.D.S  [ L. Taylor and Pullmans Men's Club ]: Mentoring program for young men 12 - 18 years old.


Youth Ministry [ J. Pena / D. Adams / A. White Directors ]:
Help shape young minds through worship, homework help, constructive activities and a meal.  Youth Nights meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CST. The doors are open to all young adults and adult volunteers to help make a difference in a child's life.
